I bought SMCI last year at its low way before the stock split and rode it to its high. I have never had a stock go up so quickly so I sold off half. Then things started looking shady and I sold the rest. I made out like a bandit. Sheer dumb luck this was. Everything I read about the stock was positive. It was being hyped from all directions. Then I caught wind of accounting inconsistencies which the stock had a history of. I was lucky in that things could have gone very badly. It was a big lesson to me to dig deeper before buying any stock and not get caught in the euphoria and hype. Sometimes, as a retail investor, dumb money I think they call us, it is hard to know what information sources are more trustworthy then others, and I feel that there is some information that may be down played or withheld .🤷♀️
Higher guidance due to increased AI demand according to the last report. Also the market expects SMCI to file financials until the 25th of February which brought back confidence. Short interest is at 15% so that could also have played a role in the rise. The stock has risen even more in the years before despite the known problems. The problems didn't disappear suddenly, therefore the stock is still speculative, there are better options out there that don't give yo headaches.
Hi!

I always look forward to your posts.
Thank you,
Tamara
Thanks Tamara, and congrats on the quick gains! Yeah, sometimes even a simple Wikipedia article can protect investors from mistakes.

I want to know what you think about what has happened at SMCI in the last seven days since your post about the stock, which has risen almost 70%.
Thanks
